Who we work with... Numina Consulting has worked with retailers and wholesalers of all shapes and sizes, plus companies from other sectors too. Here's some of our clients:

UK: Coach House, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Oxfam GB, P&O Ferries, Asda / Walmart, NHS Logistics Authority, Gordons Chemists, House of Fraser, East of England Co-operative Society, Midlands Co-operative Society, Palmer and Harvey, Focus DIY, Nisa-Today’s, The Co-operative Group, Woolworths, Alldays Stores, Southern Island Co-op.

International: Vodafone (Netherlands), Clicks (South Africa), Musgrave SuperValu Centra (Ireland), Associated Grocers of Maine (USA), Van Marcke (Belgium), Tesco (Hungary), Modis Sonae (Portugal), Pão de Açúcar [Auchan Group] (Portugal).

Here's what we did for some of them:

With Sainsbury's, we initally conducted a brief review of their systems, processes and data and made a series of recommendations. This led to a full project team being appointed which we supported for over a year to pilot and implement the changes.

Oxfam were looking for new systems (forecasting, replenishment and warehousing) to manage their new product range. Numina Consulting supported the whole software selection process and then the systems implementation.

When Waitrose implemented Aldata/Symphony systems for warehouse replenishment, we worked alongside the software house to support the implementation and worked with Waitrose to define a set of new business processes.

Clicks is South Africa’s leading specialist retailer of health, beauty and lifestyle products. We conducted an operational audit of their forecasting / replenishment systems and processes at their Cape Town headquarters. This was followed by a series of ‘masterclass’ workshops focussing on the key areas of opportunities.

An ongoing client for many years, we've had a hands-on role in the delivery of replenishment projects as part of Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland supply chain program. Having supported the initial software implementation in all depots, many assignments have followed, including resolving service level issues and designing and implementing a bespoke promotional forecasting module.

The NHS Logistics Authority has an award-winning web portal that provides suppliers with stock and sales information. Numina Consulting designed the business process and technical specification to support expanding this service to include order forecasts. This involved reviewing all the existing forecasting algorithms and recommending changes to these. We then undertook a second assignment to conduct a review of the core Inventory Systems, assessing their suitability for the mid and long term and presenting recommendations at board level.
